A new version of this CMS is almost completed that was completely re-written using CodeCharge Studio V. 5.  This will not be a converted 4.3 project but completely re-written to support the new framework of CCS 5 and Artisteer V 3.1

We have finally upgraded to CodeCharge Studio Version 5.

So far we are very pleased with CodeCharge Studio 5.  Yes got many things right, mostly the Artisteer 3.1 and CodeCharge Studio Ver 5 implementation.

It  first must be said, we  are truly in love with CodeCharge Studio 5 and Artisteer 3.1 with respect to the Artsy design interface. ( We hope they do not break things when Artsy 4 is finally ready)

Despite a few issues we have (Support Tickets in for some and we have developed workarounds for others) This is TOO SWEET!!!!

This is what we at, Real Web Sevelopment, have waited for 3 years to see, as most of us have!!!

Anyone who remembers Artsy using CodeCharge Studio 4.3 will appreciate what we are saying. We no longer will dread starting a new project with Artisteer in a CodeCharge Studio Project!!!

Kudos to Yes on the design of this interface and a generally oustanding new version of CodeCharge Studio.

Last December YesSoftware finally released CodeCharge Studio Vesion 5 after a many year wait by CodeCharge Studio Developers.

I have noticed many comments from several CodeCharge Studio Developers making truthful comments regarding this new release.  However, when posted on YesSoftware Forums, YesSoftware has been deleteing comments they do not like and actually banning forum members who post un-complimentary comments. 

This is kinda scary since potential buyers of CodeCharge Studio 5 are not getting a real picture of this new release.

So I encourage Developers to post their opinions at the CCSElite.com forums.

John Real and Real Web Development have successfully launched VideoClipJunction.  This site was completely developed using CodeCharge Studio.  It demonstrates the integration of a CodeCharge Studio application with FFMPEG video conversion, Red5 Flash Media Server, and Eprocessingnetwork's payment gateway.  The store shopping cart was also developed using CodeCharge Studio. 

The CodeCharge Studio application here allows members to join and sell video productions on this site by simply uploading videos and setting the sales and description data. 

The application processes the videos in background, selecting a 30 second portion of the video.  This extract of the video is converted to a flash movie and placed into the Red5 FMS for viewing by site visitors who may add the video to their shopping cart.

After the thumb video is created the application determines the length of the video and calculates the sale price based on the length of the video and the Price Per Second established by the member.

After Payment Gateway processing the videos are delivered via links generated by the system for downloading the purchased videos.

Again, Yessoftware has banned John Real from their CodeCharge Studio Support Forum.  This seems to be the result of either joining in with another forum member regarding what is percieved to be YesSoftware abandoning it's user base of CodeCharge Studio and actually abandoning the product completely or posting a link to the CodeCharge Studio Support forum here in the YesSoftware Forum.

In addition to the banishing of John Real and his minor contributions to the support of CodeCharge Studio,  Yessoftware has also banned the use of the name CCSElite.  No more can that word (CCSElite) be used in a post to the CodeCharge Studio Support Forum.

It is also suspected that another reason for this complete exile of some meaningfull support for CodeCharge Studio is that John Real offered a link to a topic in the CCSElite forums where our members had posted valuable information regarding alternatives to CodeCharge Studio. 

This was a response to a CodeCharge Studio Support Forum post asking for alternatives, since most members of that (once very active, now almost dead) Forum are looking to leave CodeCharge Studio as a development environment due to YesSoftware's percieved abandonment of the product and having not communicated in almost two years what they intend to do with repect to the ongoing support & development of CodeCharge Studio.

It is clear that the CodeCharge Studio Support Forum at YesSoftware's site is not designed to be a place for free expression of ideas and communications in support of the development community for CodeCharge Studio and related technologies.
